First day in BIS Moscow

     My new year at the BIS of Moscow has started on a very sunny day , the 1^st of September,that was. The first subject we were introduced to was CAS, which is part of the IB diploma program.  We started  with some team building exercises, the point of which was  getting us,the students, to know each other  and  to improve our  team  productivity. At the beginning  the five games seemed a bit easy,but then we realized that it’s really hard even to roll a carpet if you don’t do it exactly as you’re instructed to. According to the first task we had to read a word and describe it to the rest of the team. That one was easy ,but we had to be fast .The second one  required from us to keep balloones  in the air for more than 40 seconds. It was fun, because our team didn’t  even reach 35 seconds. The next task was to build a tower ,higher than the ones of the previous teams. Our tower was higher, because it was made only from straws, but it didn’t last more than 10 seconds and fell on the floor.In this task more creativity was needed . The last but one was to wrap an egg with the use of paper,straws and tape. Our egg survived !!!  And the last  but not least task was to make a circle from the rope, which was given to us, but we had to make it with our eyes closed,so it was pretty tough.
After the lunch we had another interesting task -to transform  nothing (2 plastic trash bags and 2 wood sticks ) into something-kites ,which could  be given someday to an orphanage in aim to make the kids happy. J
In each task we developed new skills,showed perseverance and commintment to our activities ,worked in collaboration with the  others and had to be creative.For me it was a good strart in the new school , because I got to know most of the people ,understood what it’s  like to work in a team and learned new things.
